Pittsburgh, August 11, 2018 -- The 5th Annual Pittsburgh Brain Aneurysm Run/Walk will be held September 22, 2018 at Northshore Riverfront Park near Heinz Field. The event is held to help provide education and support for brain aneurysm awareness in Pittsburgh and to remember and honor family, friends and survivors who have suffered brain aneurysms.

2018 BAF Run/Walk

The University of Pittsburgh Department of Neurological Surgery's Aneurysm AVM Support Group has set up a neurosurgery team page on the Brain Aneurysm Foundation website where you can register and donate to support the cause.

The run/walk consists of a 5K run or a three-mile walk and begins at 9:45 a.m. Early registration fee is $25 and includes a t-shirt. Registration cost after September 7 is $30. On-site registration is available beginning at 8:00 a.m., but t-shirt availability will be limited. A youth run/walk will also be held. Cost for this event is $10 and also includes a t-shirt. Plenty of children-friendly activities will be available too.

If you can't make it to the event, but would like to support the cause, you can register as a "virtual" participant for $50 by September 7 and receive a free t-shirt.
